The 31st Southeast Asian Games will be hosted in 2022 in Hanoi, Vietnam, and 11 nearby provinces. The SEA Games take place biennially as a subregional division of the International Olympics. The SEA Games are one part of the Olympic Council of Asia alongside the Central Asian Games, the East Asian Youth Games, the South Asian Games, and the West Asian Games. Participants of the SEA Games currently include all eleven countries of the Southeast Asia geographical region: Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

From 04 October 2021, no walk-in for consular services is allowed. Please book your appointment at least 3 days in advance of your intended visit.

The Vietnam National Brands Week 2021 in Singapore – Hybrid Expo on Halal and Processed Food Products will be held from 23-28 August 2021 in Singapore. The event is co-organised by the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Vietnam (Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency and Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore) and the Embassy of Vietnam in Singapore to strengthen the trade cooperation between the two countries in the food and agriculture field to mitigate the economic impact of COVID-19 and strengthen the resilience and sustainability of the supply chains, with the goal of preserving socio-economic stability, the continued flow of essential goods, and food security for our peoples.
Duanwu Festival is a traditional ritual observed in both Vietnamese and Singapore-Chinese cultures. This day is around the time of Xiazhi (or Haji - the time of the Summer Solstice) when the Sun is nearest to the surface of the Earth. Xiazhi (midsummer) in Vietnam is also the onslaught of heat, rainfall, humidity, mosquitoes, flies and related summer illness. Nevertheless, Xiazhi brings a myriad of delicious fruits, and among them, is the lychee.
